Corrections for watt hours or lithium content

For your item, the battery component has some incorrect information. The watt hours or lithium content value does not match between the value you input into the PIP, the UN 38.3 and/or the SDS. Please review your item and update the watt hours or lithium content to match the battery documentation. 
 

To update the UPC:

Open and log-into the Product Intelligence Platform (PIP): portal.smartersorting.com

On the left, select Pending Requests and this UPC will be listed with an orange ‘corrections needed’ status. Click and open the UPC.

 

Once the item has opened, scroll down to the components section and select ‘Edit Details’ for the Battery component.

 

Here, you will be able to edit the attached UN 38.3 or SDS or update the input value field for the PIP. Please ensure that the value on all three sources matches. For lithium ion you will need to update the watt hours, and for lithium metal you will need to update the lithium content.

Once you have made all edits, resubmit the item for classification.
