My Back of Truck System (BOTS/TruckSiS) monitor is taking a long time to update when it has not been turned on for over a week

When these units are not logged into they get very behind in their software updates.  This can cause a delay in the login screen showing up for drivers.  You may think the systems is broken or "spinning" but it's really just thinking.

 

NOTE:  One of the big signs that a system is out of date is that the serial number will appear as blank.

 

 

1. If it has been more than a week since the machine was logged into, it is likely updating may fix the problem.  It may take a bit - up to 30 minutes - depending on how long it has been since the last update.
2. If the update is taking longer than 30 minutes - contact support to ask them if the update is working as expected.  They should be able to tell if the update is in progress or stuck.
